Venus Takes the Wheel

October 8–17, 2025

If you’ve been feeling like your relationships, self-worth, or sense of balance are all being put through a cosmic performance review... you’re right!

Venus, the planet of value, connection, and aesthetics, is stepping into the spotlight this week. And she’s not doing it quietly. Between a few illuminating sextiles, some high-pressure oppositions, and a full-blown kite pattern, the cosmos is practically screaming, “Get your priorities straight.”

Let’s walk through what’s happening.

October 8 — Venus in Virgo Sextile Jupiter in Cancer: The Gentle Nudge

Venus in Virgo doesn’t do chaos. She likes plans, order, and making sure everything (and everyone) has a purpose.

Jupiter in Cancer, on the other hand, is the emotional growth coach concerned with nurturing your soft spots and expanding your sense of belonging.

When these two connect by sextile, it’s like the universe quietly pointing out the places where your values and your emotional needs could actually work together. It’s a cooperative energy that says, “Hey, you can build a better future, as long as you do it with intention.”

This sextile between Venus and Jupiter is coming roughly at the same time that Mercury is in a bit of a standoff with Pluto. Remember what I said about screaming at a brick wall while the universe is telling you to “shut up and listen?” Yeah, the tension is still there. And this Venus-Jupiter sextile might feel like having a carrot dangled in front of you while you’re still trying to untangle last week’s emotional mess. The message the universe is trying to tell you is this: “There is a path forward. But it’s going to take some focus and emotional honesty to walk it.”

October 10–12 — Venus Opposite Saturn (Retrograde) in Pisces: The Performance Review

Here’s where the message about seeing a path forward gets serious. This opposition highlights how we see ourselves and what we value versus the effort we put into making things happen.

Saturn, retrograde in Pisces, is like the boss coming in to do your annual review. He shows up unannounced, clipboard in hand, ready to ask uncomfortable questions like:

“Have you actually done the work?”

“Are you living by your own standards?”

“Or are you expecting rewards you haven’t earned?”

Saturn doesn’t want to shame you; he just wants you to be real. This is an opposition after all, two sides, two strong opinions. Saturn is the taskmaster, asking the hard questions. Venus might feel a little exposed but, being in Virgo, she’s well placed to make an honest assessment of herself before answering. And that is exactly what we need right now.

That honest assessment might stir up feelings of self-doubt or impostor syndrome, but it can also reveal where we’ve been over-giving, undercharging, or settling for crumbs in our lives.

October 12 — Venus, Saturn, Pluto & Uranus: The First Kite

Now we get the big configuration of the week: a Kite pattern involving Venus, Saturn, Pluto, and Uranus.

Here’s the breakdown:

Venus in Virgo trine Uranus (retrograde) in Gemini: Expect a shake-up in how you think about relationships, what you value, or how you deal with others. Uranus doesn’t like “the way it’s always been done,” so anywhere where routine has gotten too predictable, he’s going to have you considering how to flip the script.

Venus in Virgo trine Pluto (stationary) in Aquarius: A deep dive into power and self-worth. Where have you been giving your energy away? Where have you been afraid to stand in your own value? Pluto pushes for transformation, even if it’s uncomfortable.

Venus opposite Saturn (retrograde) in Pisces: This is the moment of accountability, seeing clearly where you put in effort and what you get out of it.

Together, these aspects create a mix of friction and flow meant to get you to think about recalibrating aspects of your life as you move forward.

October 13 — Venus Enters Libra & Pluto Stations Direct

Big shift here. Venus leaves Virgo’s “let’s fix it” mode and comes home to Libra, where she’s more focused on harmony, balance, and connection.

In Libra, Venus doesn’t want perfection; she wants harmony. She wants to feel seen and heard, and she wants relationships that are mutual, not transactional.

Meanwhile, Pluto stations direct in Aquarius. After months of introspection on personal transformation, Pluto directs its drive to question authority and transform outdated social systems outward. This restarts a period of social restructuring, class conscious thinking, and demands issues of freedom and equality be addressed. Remember Pluto is in Aquarius for roughly 20ish years, this transformation is not quick.

October 13–17 — Venus, Neptune, Pluto & Uranus: The Second Kite

The kite energy continues, but the players shift slightly. Neptune (retrograde) steps in to oppose Venus, replacing Saturn as the cosmic counterpart.

Now the story moves from accountability to clarity. Neptune doesn’t test your effort. He tests your vision.

Venus in Libra trine Uranus (retrograde) in Gemini: Be open to new ways of connecting. This could look like changing your communication patterns, trying something new in a relationship, or simply realizing that your old methods aren’t producing balance anymore.

Venus in Libra trine Pluto (direct) in Aquarius: This is empowerment through diplomacy. If you can speak your truth calmly and with respect, this aspect helps you reshape relationships and negotiate with difficult power structures in your life.

Venus in Libra opposite Neptune (retrograde) in Aries: Neptune brings the idealistic into focus, so you can examine it. This opposition asks: “Are you simply chasing a dream, or are you truly prepared for the reality of having it?

It’s not meant to burst your bubble, but the clarity will help you identify the difference between the dream and the reality.

By the end of these transits, many of us will have a clearer sense of what’s truly valuable going forward. And we’re going to need that as our next October transits take us into a more active zone.
