Transits at a glance
Keep in mind that during the entire month of September, the outer planet sextiles are all in effect. Pluto (rx) Aquarius, Saturn (rx) Pisces, Neptune (rx) Pisces, and Uranus (rx Sept. 6th) Gemini. This is a lot of “Internal Review and Reflection" energy happening simultaneously in 4 houses of our charts.
Sept. 1 — Saturn re-enters Pisces (retrograde): “Can you work without supervision?” was the initial theme when Saturn began its retrograde on July 13th, but now that it has left Aries, the theme of the rest of its retrograde cycle is shifting to more of a Piscean “Is the work truly in alignment with my goals?”
Sept. 2 — Mercury enters Virgo (Exaltation): Mercury in Virgo is able to operate without limitations, and in the place of exaltation, Mercury is at its strongest. That suggests aa boost of peak mental energy. Great for forming plans and sorting out tricky life issues.
Sept. 2 — Mercury in Virgo Squares Uranus in Gemini: While your mind is running at peak performance, you cannot calculate for natural chaos. Plan, but don’t take action quite yet. There is still something that needs to be revealed.
Sept. 4–Sep 11 — Mars in Libra Squares Exalted Jupiter in Cancer: The drive to act might be limited by the need to consider all parties involved or how those others might be affected by actions.
Sept. 6 — Uranus Retrograde. The bringer of change through innovation and revolution is turning that energy inward. What do we need to do to change? How can we shake up our routines and evolve into a new version of ourselves?
Sept. 7 — Lunar Eclipse in Pisces (North Node): The lunar side will be drawing our attention to Pisces, where the North Node is asking us to pay attention to our intuition. While this is happening, the solar side will be on the South Node in Vigo. The Sun, the ego, is being asked to let go of something here. This is head versus heart energy. Listen to your intuition here.
Sept. 12–18 — Venus in Leo sextile Mars in Libra: With this cooperative connection to Mars in her home sign of Libra, there will be more of an understanding between Venus and Mars. The reasons that Mars has been held back from acting (while traveling Libra) may become clearer.
Sept. 13 — Exalted Mercury Cazimi (conjunction with Sun) in Virgo and sextile to Exalted Jupiter in Cancer: This is peak manifestation time. Mental focus, the desires of the ego, and the ability to make things happen are all in alignment today. Use it wisely.
Sept. 16-19 — Saturn (rx) & Neptune (rx) Opposition to Mercury: Clarity of mind can bring up issues we have been ignoring. These things need to be addressed in order to move forward.
Sept. 18 — Mercury in Libra: This is the shift from mental clarity and the ability to focus on what is going on in our lives, to the understanding that we are not an island. We have to consider others too, especially when it comes to the changes going on in our lives.
Sept. 19-Oct. 5 — Venus Mercury mutual reception: Venus enters Virgo with mutual reception to Mercury in Libra. This enables us to consider how our decisions affect others. This is positive when planning for the future, especially with all the chaotic change energy we’ve been feeling.
Sept. 19-22 — Venus in Virgo square Uranus (rx) in Gemini: Uranus in retrograde creates a chaotic desire to change ourselves, which may cause issues with Venusian plans at this time.
Sept. 21 — Partial Solar Eclipse 29 degrees Virgo opposed Saturn (rx) and Neptune (rx): Both the Sun (the ego) and the Moon (our emotions) have the potential to work together. This is releasing energy. Cleaning house before moving on to the next cycle of our lives. With the Saturn and Neptune opposition, we may be reminded of where our focus needs to be regarding future goals. Letting go of something is hard, but if releasing something that is holding you back helps you to move forward, do it.
Sept. 22 — Sun enters Libra: Welcome to Libra season and a chance for us to invite a little harmony into our lives. Keep in mind there will be an immediate opposition to Neptune(rx) in Aries, trine to Pluto (rx), and a trine to Uranus(rx), as the sun moves through the first degrees in Libra. This will require us to have patience as these retrograde planets remind us of the chaos, desires, and need to change things we have not fully dealt with.
Sept. 22 — Mars enters Scorpio and Squares Pluto (rx): Mars is home and finally able to work without limitations, but the square to Pluto can act like a shadow in the back of our minds, reminding us not to take things too far.
