Sun in Virgo squares Uranus in Gemini

Be flexible when conflict comes knocking. 08/24/2025

The Sun in Virgo is just outside of its domain in Leo. It’s in Mercury’s house. And if we look at Mercury, right now, we find that it is in Leo, the sun’s house. Though neither of them are at home, they are in mutual reception. This gives us some great cooperative energy between the two celestial bodies. The Sun represents our ego. Mercury represents our intellect and communication. When the “I” and how we communicate ourselves are working together, we have the opportunity to manifest or create what we want. This can also make us feel a little too headstrong for our own good. So be aware of that.

Now, we need to look at the other side of this aspect. The square to Uranus in Gemini.

Gemini is also Mercury’s house. So while Mercury is playing nice with the Sun, it’s also dictating how Uranus can use its energy within Gemini.

Uranus is the planet of revolution, innovation, and freedom. Change and disruption are common wherever this planet is moving. And within the sign of Gemini, this tends to push that chaotic energy into how we communicate with and interact with others as well as technology. There’s very much a move fast and break things energy when Uranus is in Gemini. That creates lots of innovation but can leave a bit of a destructive wake as it does.

Now, when it comes to the aspects in astrology we tend to see a square as conflict. Not the hard line of “my way or the highway” that an opposition would bring, but still very much combative and unable to see eye-to-eye.

The Sun and Uranus are 90degrees apart here. The energy of this aspect is like a tug of war, or sibling rivalry. Both sides will demand focus and attention, but you have to find that middle ground to work through it.

So how do we deal with it?

When “move fast and break things” meets with “the ego,” conflict is always a possibility.

And when it happens, we have to be extra mindful of how we react. It might feel counterintuitive but, remember to be flexible.

When conflict presents itself between yourself and another person, try to recognize where it is coming from and approach with an open mind. You might be surprised to see how differently you viewed the conflict vs the other person.
